Lance G. Wade, 54, of Henderson, NV, formerly of Washington, IL, passed away at 8:53 am Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born Aug. 2, 1963 to Millard H. and Annie M. Lambert Wade in Peoria, IL. He married Barbara Leuschen in Las Vegas, NV on Oct. 13, 2015. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents, Millard and Annie Wade; three children, David (Dani) Wade, Lauraly (Nathan) Fortenberry, Grayson Wade; three grandchildren, Carmen, Isabel, Dorian; five siblings, Candy (Todd) Glore, Oveta Wade, Kevin (Debra) Wade, Keith (Debbie) Wade, Robin (Amy) Wade; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Wade and Landon Wade Sr.
Lance loved his country and was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving in Desert Shield and Desert Storm, retiring proudly after 21 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant. He owned and was an instructor at Do It Right Protocol Training in Henderson, NV.
He was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors.
A funeral service for Lance will be held at 10 am Friday, May 4, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, IL, with Rev. Steve Hardin officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
