Retire your well-worn American flag honorably, respectfully, and patriotically
Title 4, Section 8k of the United States Flag Code States that
"The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display,
should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."
Your flag is ready for retirement
if it is no longer repairable, tattered, worn, frayed, or faded, it's ready for retirement.
When you donate
your retirement-ready flag to Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory, it is receving the most dignified retirement possible,
by accompanying a veteran of our Armed Forces during their cremation rites.
You may drop off your flags for honorable retirement to our office at any time during our normal business hours.
