Howard Lee Green, 66, of Morton, passed away at 12:30am Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Washington Christian Village.
He was born January 26, 1952 in Peoria to Albert and Eleanor Bauer Green; they preceded him in death.
Surviving are five siblings, Bernice Jones of Washington, Floyd (Janet) Green of Pekin, Walter (Joy) Green of Mackinaw, Richard Green of Washington, and Dorothy (Dean) Krowlek of Washington, and his many nieces and nephews.
Howard was very hardworking, took great pride in his work, and enjoyed serving others. He most recently worked for VSI in Morton. He loved to be outdoors mushroom hunting, fishing, or working on cars. He was a longtime member of the Sunnyland Phoenix and was proud of his accomplishments there. Howard was also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Morton where served with the Primary. One his favorite memories was a trip to Utah in 2016 with his Bishop and his family.
A funeral service for Howard will be held at 1:00pm Saturday April 14, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Morton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Farmdale Cemetery in rural Washington. Bishop Donald Mehr will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
