She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and one niece.
Dina worked at the Book Emporium and Walgreens early on, and spent her professional career at Aetna’s Medicare division and in sales at Pearl Insurance.
In 1987, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She always kept a positive attitude about her diagnosis and remained hopeful that there would one day be a cure, even participating in an MS Walk. She championed the creation of a memorial for Ironworkers who lost their lives while working on the McClugage Bridge in 2000. If there was a worthy cause, she was there to support it.
Dina loved to spend her time watching old movies and Westerns; she especially loved Stark Trek and Star Wars. Reading as much as she could and watching the History Channel also kept her busy. She had a knack for all things creative, whether it was her beautifully decorated home, her crewel embroidery works, or making unique Halloween costumes. She was also an amazing cook, specializing in peanut butter blossom cookies. Dina was a Cubs fan, but one of her favorite pastimes was enjoying a Pay Day bar while watching Tom Brady and the Patriots play.
