Zellah Denean "Dean" Norris, of Peoria, formerly of Goreville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 in Peoria.

She was born in Goreville July 28, 1934, the daughter of Helen Burris Range.  She was preceded in death by her mother and step father, Forest Range, her twin sister Jean Burris Adams, two nephews, Mark and David Adams, and a cousin, Dottie Seaton.  She is survived by a number of cousins and her special friends including, Gayle Allen, Susan Osborn, Shelley Davis, and many others from her home church of Woodland Baptist.

She was a faithful member of the Woodland Baptist Church since 1964, a church family she dearly loved. She was a graduate of the Goreville elementary and high schools and the Draughon's Business College, in Paducah, KY.  She was employed by the Peoria Union Stockyards for 25 years and District 150 in Peoria, IL for twelve years, retiring in 2012.

Services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria.  Visitation will begin at 11 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 12 PM. Pastor Doug Morrow will officiate. Graveside service will be Monday, January 12, 2026 at 1pm at Busby Cemetery in rural Goreville, with Pastor Glenn Webb officiating.
