Wm. Henry Allen, 85, of Washington, passed away at 9:15pm Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was born February 9, 1936 in Danvers, IL to Earl and Eva Allen. He married Julie Goers in Danvers on June 14, 2008. She survives. Also surviving are three children, Steven Allen, Henry Allen, and Sheryl Allen-Larsen; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Artrella Taylor and Paulette Brinker; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jim on May 4, 2004; two sisters, Alberta and Jeanette; and one brother, Sherman. Henry owned and operated Allen Timber Products for 50 years, retiring in 2004. He was a former member of the board of directors at Hopedale Hospital. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting mushrooms with his family. Visitation will be from 10am to Noon Friday, May 14, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A Graveside Service will follow at 1pm Friday at Stouts Grove Cemetery in Danvers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
