Obituary Wilma E. Bilbrey, 96, of East Peoria, passed away at 7:35pm Monday November 9, 2015 at her daughter's home. Wilma was born December 16, 1918 in Peoria to Wilmer B. and Sarah G. Douglas George. She married LaVerne Halverson on July 4, 1937 in Peoria; he preceded her in death January 10, 1985. She later married Cecil D. Bilbrey on July 14, 1990, and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2010. Surviving is her daughter, Sandra (Harold) Kastl of East Peoria; 6 grandchildren, Christine (John) Gaspar, Terri (Jim) Grooss, Kathy (Kevin) Fiddes, Rebecca Kastl, Mark (Kristi) Kastl, and Scott (Shawna) Kastl; 14 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raymond; a cousin, Beatrice LiGrisse; a great-grandson, Christopher Fiddes; and a great-great grandson, Oliver Pinkston. Wilma worked as a clerk at Bergner's before serving many years as secretary at UFCW Local #536. She was active in the Women of the Moose, Academy of Friendship, College of Regents and Star Recorder. She was also a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria. Wilma's family would like to thank the staff of Fondulac Woods Rehabilitation and Healthcare for many years of loving care. A funeral Mass for Wilma will be held at 10:00am, Thursday November 12, 2015 at St. Monica Catholic Church in East Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Interment will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Father Julius Turyatoranwa will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OSF Hospice.
