Obituary Washington - William R. "Bill" Rode, 63, of Washington, formerly of Tuscon, AZ, died at 6:17 AM on Tuesday December 18, 2012 at Maple Lawn Homes in Eureka. He was born February 23, 1949 in West Germany, Germany. His survived by his mother Anneliese Jager Dix Brambach of Germany, three children; Melody Havey of Austin, TX, Missy Jester of East Peoria and Brandon Rode of Tuscon, AZ, two step-children Heather Dalton and Thomas (Tiffany) Dalton both of Washington, ten grandchildren, one great-grandson, and two sisters; Brigette (Doug) Gossage and Ursala Wehage, both of California. He was preceded in death by his father Gerhard Dix. Bill was a truck driver for nearly 45 years. His greatest love in life was being behind the wheel of his truck. He last worked thirteen years for Mesila Valley Transportation in El Paso, TX. He was of the Lutheran Faith. Cremation rites will be accorded. There will be a memorial service at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
