William "Ed" Fish, 72, of Morton, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 in Peoria.

He was born August 12, 1952 in Washington, Indiana to John William and Alma Sipes Fish. He married Mary Lynn Burris in Odon, Indiana on June 26, 1976. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jessica Lynn Fish and Jennifer Fish (and partner Renata Sellars); grandson, William; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Ed graduated from Indiana University. He worked as an optometrist at Heyde Eye Center in Peoria and Pekin, and Peoria Eye Professionals in Peoria before retiring. He was a skilled organist and pianist who faithfully served his home churches since high school, including 29 dedicated years at Crossroads.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3pm on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Crossroads Global Methodist Church in Washington. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
