Obituary East Peoria- William "Bill" L. Crebo, 83, of East Peoria died at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Bill was born on August 30, 1930 in East Peoria to Thomas B. and Margaret Boles Crebo. He married Beverly J. Myers on May 31, 1953 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are two sons: Tom Crebo and Jim (Katina) Crebo, both of East Peoria, three daughters; Vicki (Dean) Quinn and Carol (Garth) MacPhee, both of East Peoria and Kathi (Hector) Garcia of Omaha, Nebraska, eighteen grandchildren: Brooke (Tim) Lancaster, Ben (Jen) Oetzel, Nicole (A.J.) Baksai, Lindsay Crebo, Nicolas Garcia, Andrew, Hannah, Daytona, Madia and Jenna Crebo, Taylor, Tess, Tanner, Turner, Timber, Traeger, Tweed, and Taja MacPhee; four great-grandchildren: Kendyl and Karsyn Halsey and Evie and Trey Baksai; one sister: Donna McMullen of East Peoria, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, William A. Crebo in 1998, and three brothers. Bill was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He served in the Headquarters Co. 403rd Engineer Base Depot, an all-Caterpillar reserve company called to active duty. He was stationed in Germany. Bill worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 38 years retiring February 1, 1986, last working as a Factory Accounting Foreman in Building DD in Mossville. He was also a real estate agent with Century 21 Lincoln National Realty in East Peoria for 15 years. He was a member of the Peoria State and National Board of Realty, Caterpillar Retirees Club and American Legion Post 1234 in Creve Coeur and served as president of the Amateur Radio Club in the early 70s. There will be a funeral service for Bill at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Dan Doty will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery. Military rites will be given by both active duty military as well as Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team. The family would like to extend their thanks to Bill's doctors and caregivers at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, for their professional care and support they provided during his illness.
