Obituary William Eugene Billings, 88, of Morton, formerly of East Peoria, passed away at 1:20pm Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home. Bill was born January 9 , 1928 in Peoria, to Joseph and Emily Binkele Schonewise. He married Esther Mae Parnham on August 9 , 1954 in Golden, CO; she preceded him in death in 2005. Surviving are two sons, Mark Billings of Morton and Michael (Kim) Emerson of Windsor, CO; grandchildren, Dillon of Denver, CO, Chase of Portland, OR, and Parker Emerson of Denver, CO; and three great grand children. Bill served his country in the US Army. He worked at Pabst Brewing Company, Addressograph Mulitgraph, Bill Billings and Sons Used Cars, City of East Peoria, and Fondulac Park District. He owned and operated Ripper Trailer Sales. Bill was an active member of the East Peoria community and served for many years on the School Board. He had a love of wildlife and nature and enjoyed fishing in Minnesota. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday August 18, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service. Interment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer & Dementia Association.
