Wesley Emmett Waters, 96, of Ottawa, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing.

He was born June 6, 1927 in Waukegan to the late Wesley Carlton and Dorothy Stoerp Waters. His wife preceded him in death in 2016, after 60 years of marriage.

Surviving is his daughter and her husband, Frances and Dale; grandchild G.L.; his siblings, Donna Mae and Paul (Mary); and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his sister Muriel "Sis", and her husbands, John and Herb; his brother Edward, and his partner, Paul; and his brother-in-law, Warren.

Wesley was a member of the Greatest Generation, serving in the Navy during World War II. He went on to work for Xerox in Oak Brook until his retirement. Wesley enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golf, and boats. He professed the Catholic faith and was a devoted father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Inurnment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in River Grove.
