Obituary Washington- Wanda L. Nance, 76, of East Peoria, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011 at Washington Christian Village. Born January 11, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Carrie and Grace (Ray) Hutchcraft, she married Gordon L. Nance April 17, 1953 in Peoria. He preceded her in death November 30, 2005. Also preceding in death were her parents and a brother Dan. Surviving are 2 daughters, Cindy (Jason) Steen of East Peoria and Teresa (Harry) Biddison of Mapleton; one brother, Ken (Carolyn) Hutchcraft of East Peoria; 2 sisters, Doris (Tony) Legaz and Lois (Dr. Wendell) Carter, both of East Peoria; 3 grandchildren, Gynger Biddison, Dan Bobbitt and Stephanie (Scott) Coultas; and 2 great-grandsons, Carter and Dylan Coultas. For 36 years, Wanda worked for AT&T as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Pioneer Club, CWA and very active with the Pierce Line Dancers of Chillicothe. She was a graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria. Her life was devoted to her family, church and friends. Wanda enjoyed traveling and sought to bring enjoyment to any life experience. She loved sharing moments with her grandchildren and encouraged them by taking part in their interests. She was a member of Highview Church of God in Washington.
