Obituary Wanda Lacy, 80, of Washington, passed away at 3:03am Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Washington Christian Village. Wanda was born May 23, 1933 in Girard to Roy Earl and Lottie Irene Hughes Lutz. She married George A. Lacy, Sr. February 24, 1952 in Peoria; he survives. Also surviving are her children, Charlotte (Jacy) Fisher of Chillicothe, Kathy (Kent) Casey of Washington, and George (Lori) Lacy, Jr. of Castleton; grandchildren, D. Thomas (Chris) Casey of Roanoke, Kenda (Steve) Gelling of Chillicothe, Michael (Teresa) Marliere of Chillicothe, and Caitlyn Lacy of Castleton; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gelling, Lucina Casey, and Adalynn Marliere; sisters, Effie (Keith) Burkholder of Peoria and Mildred (William) Surratt of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Earl Lutz; and a son, Larry Gene Lacy. Wanda loved her family, community of faith and close friends. She was always available to listen, make a meal, or volunteer with them. Through the years, she worked by taking in ironing, waitressing, and being the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Funeral services for Wanda will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Highview Christian Church, Washington. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Springdale Cemetery, Peoria. Pastor James Frye will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Highview Christian Church.
