Obituary EAST PEORIA--Vivian J. Duppert, 91, of East Peoria, died at 7:30 AM, on Monday, June 18, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on June 16, 1916 in Stark, Illinois to Sylvester and Rose Wilcox Shane. She married William J. Duppert on July 29, 1939 in Peoria, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1990 in Peoria. Surviving is one son, Michael (Sally) Duppert of Groveland, IL; one daughter, Kathy (Roger) Hamp of East Peoria, IL; 2 granddaughters, Jill (Scott) Moen and Natalie (Mark) Vershaw; 2 step granddaughters, Kelly (Scott) Anderson and Tracy Cunefare; 7 great grandchildren and one brother, Sherman Shane of Stark, IL. She was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Shane and her sister, Jean Juricich. Vivian started her career as an office worker with Block & Kuhl and later worked at Caterpillar before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed the Robein Neighborhood Civic Club, played bridge and loved to dance to and listen to big band and swing music. She also loved her flower garden. Vivian always had a twinkle in her eye. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 22, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Jimmy Walden will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, IL.
