Obituary Virginia D. Hazelwood, 83, of East Peoria passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 10:18a.m. at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. Virginia was born on September 1, 1932 in Evening Shade, AR to Chester and Opal Green Crafton. She married Carl Hazelwood on April 15, 1950 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He survives. Together, they shared 65 blessed years. Surviving are her children, Jerry and wife, Terri Hazelwood of Greers Ferry, AR, Linda Diane Levery of Jefferson, MO, and Larry and wife, Dianna Hazelwood of Washington; two grandchildren, Niki Aberle and Jamie McKean; three great-grandchildren, Kody, Jade, and Layla; one brother, Buddy and wife, Charlene Crafton; one sister, Kathy and husband, Bud Flanary. She was preceded in death by her parents. Virginia worked as a homemaker, devoted to raising and caring for her family. In her free time, she loved to sew, garden, read, help her husband upholster and detail cars. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. A memorial service for Virginia will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1:00P.M. at Richland Southern Baptist Church in East Peoria where she was a member. Pastor Gary England will officiate.
