Obituary East Peoria- V. Kathryn Purviance, 97, of East Peoria passed away at 11:58 AM on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. Kathryn was born to David and Rebecca Farmer Leedy on May 18, 1915 in Barnard, MO. She married Hallie Townsend in 1931. She then married Raymond Rickman in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1966. She married Ray Purviance in 1973. They made their home in Barnard, MO until his passing in 2006. Surviving is one son, Norman Townsend of East Peoria, a granddaughter, Carol (Paul) Garland of Washington, 6 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Iona Townsend and a grandson Neil (Deb) Townsend. Private Graveside Services took place on Saturday, July 14, 2012 and interment was in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
