Vera Pauline Crumley, 93, died Thursday morning, January 8, 2026 at Carle Methodist Hospital, Peoria where she'd been a patient.

Pauline was born on June 22 1932 in Rushville, IL, the daughter of Bradford and Ruth White. She married Gene Crumley on November 12 1950 in Rushville, IL.

She is survived by two sons, David (Marilee) Crumley of Green Valley, AZ and Gary (Barbra) Crumley of Lake Oswego, OR, four grandchildren, Scott (Nicole) & Troy Crumley; and Jonathan (Meg) & Brandon Crumley; three great-grandchildren, Gabe & Matt Crumley, and Fred Crumley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, sister Emma-Lee Caldwell and by her parents.

She was a member of Glen Oak Christian Church. She was a judge of election in Tazewell County for a number of years.

Pauline was a 1950 graduate of Rushville High School. She co-owned Bessler Welding, Inc. from 1974 with Gene. They both retired in 1996. She lived in East Peoria.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at Palm Cemetery, rural Rushville, IL.
