Obituary PEKINa"V. Elizabeth King, 98, of Pekin died at 9:15 PM, on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Timbercreek Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Pekin, IL. She was born on January 1, 1910 in Russell, Iowa to Claud H. and Jessie B. Evans Bower. She married William G. King on December 23, 1935 in Russell, IA. He preceded her in death. Surviving are 2 daughters, Nancy E. (Gene) Pope of Washington, IL, and Zoe R. (Robert) Worner of Forest City, IL; 1 son, Alan E. (Marilyn) King of Delaware, OH; 1 sister, Ruth E. Sellers of Dexter, IA; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Elizabeth taught music as a school teacher, and was a member of the Peoria Area Music Teachers Association. She was also a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church, the Historical Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Cremation rites will be accorded and services will be private.
