Obituary East Peoria - Ulrich "Rick" Quitschau, 71 of East Peoria, IL, died at 6:22 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on October 11, 1936 in Konigsberg, Germany to Alfred and Erna Kloth Quitschau, he married Patricia A. Vietti on December 10, 1955 in Jernando, MS. She survives. Also surviving are four children, Rick (Carol) Quitschau of Trivoli, Cindy Tackmann, Michael (Karen) Quitschau, and Stacie Christensen, all of East Peoria, 2 sisters, Margot Lippert and Ina (Al) Felser, both of Park Ridge,Il. and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wolfgang and Gunther Quitschau. Rick was a US Army Veteran. He worked at Edward Hine Print Company in Peoria, retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria. Rick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria. Pastor Kurt Mews will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, February 11, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria, and also from 1:30-2 pm Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
