Obituary Troy Pfeifer, 56, of Washington, passed away at 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his home. Troy was born October 15, 1958 in Peoria, to Wayne and Louise Murphy Pfeifer. Surviving is his son, Ryan (Casey) Pfeifer, of Washington; companion, Barb Woods of Washington; mother, Louise (Larry) Bloom of Morton; and siblings, Tracy Pfeifer of East Peoria; and Todd Pfeifer and Toni Pruett both of Washington. He was preceded in death by his father. Troy retired in 2013 from the City of Washington. He served the city for 35 years with the street department. His spare time was rich in bowling, fishing and spending time with his family. He devoted his time as a coach to several of Ryan's baseball and football teams. Troy was also an avid Steelers and Cubs fan. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm, Monday, October 20, 2014 at the funeral home, as well as a half hour prior to the service Tuesday. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
