Treva Louise Sailor, 88, of Washington, passed away at 8:15am Saturday, July 8, 2023 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born October 25, 1934 in Keenes, IL to the late Eber and Elsie Mae Smith Coil. She married Bobbie Sailor on October 29, 1950 in Keenes; he preceded her in death in 2009.
Surviving are her daughters, Dianna (Michael) Grebner of Washington, Debra (Dan) Wilson of Fort Worth, TX, Linda Sailor, of Morton, and Connie Sailor of Washington; 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 7 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Thelma Lathrop and Johnnie Coil; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Howard.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Brett A. Hickam; and her siblings, Doris Lathrop, Velma Akers, and Ernest Coil.
Treva worked as a hairdresser from her home and at Montgomery Ward. She was a longtime member of Sunnyland Christian Church. She was a talented seamstress and loved creating clothing, embroidering, and crocheting. Over the years, she was a 4H leader and spent her summers tending her garden and canning. She and Bobbie enjoyed camping, especially their visits to Kentuckiana Kampground, and visiting southern Illinois. She was a very sweet loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Treva's family would like to thank the staff of East Peoria River Crossing, Peace of Mind Private Care Services and OSF Richard Owens Hospice Home for the loving care provided to their beloved mother for the past 3 months.
A memorial service will be held at noon Friday, July 14, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Robin Robinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:30am-noon Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Spring Bay Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
