Obituary Spc. Trenton Harry Weston, 22, of Washington, IL, stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC, passed away on December 10, 2015. Trent was born September 27, 1993 in Peoria, IL, to Douglas James and Julie Ann Rickords Weston. He graduated from Washington Community High School in 2012. He is survived by his proud parents, Doug and Julie Weston of Washington, IL; siblings, Tyler Weston of Chicago, IL, Jess Weston of San Francisco, CA, and Savanah Weston of Columbia, MO; paternal grandmother Dorothy Weston of Washington, IL; aunts and uncles, Debbie (Mike) Cerone of Wheaton, IL, Mark (Lori) Weston of Washington, IL, Linda (Randy) Simpson of Winfield, IL, Steve (Monica) Weston of Liberty Twp., OH, Dan Weston of Washington, IL, and Carol (Charlie) Ostrander of Rochester, NY. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harry Weston and maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Rickords as well his uncle Danny Rickords. Trent was a loving, thoughtful young man whose humor could light up a room. He encouraged others to just be themselves, and was a friend to anyone he met. Trent's faith was important to him. He enjoyed participating in Younglife, a non-denominational Christian ministry. One of his defining qualities was his selflessness, which inspired him to serve his country in the Army. In his service, he strived to excel in his duties, being awarded the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Silver), and Army Services Ribbon. He loved to play video games and was a talented, passionate musician and member of the WCHS drumline. Trent's friends remember him as someone who could always make them laugh. A funeral Mass for Trent will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington, IL. The visitation will be from 4-7:00pm Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, IL. Father Stephen Willard will officiate. Interment with full military honors will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Young Life of Central Illinois or Wounded Warrior Project.
