Obituary Tony "Moose" McMurtry, 51, of Morton passed away at 9:52 AM Sunday, June 28, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born on May 4, 1964 in Peoria to James A. and Rose M. Puntoni Guede, he married Kimberly Janes on June 10, 1995 in Morton. Surviving are his mother, Rose Guede (Scott A. Noll) of Morton; his son, Kyle McMurtry of Morton; siblings, Deanna McMurtry of Morton, Kristina Guede of Atlanta, GA, Regina (Troy) Stone of South Pekin, James (Pamela) Guede of Chillicothe, Eric (Sherida) Guede of Allentown, Nicholas Guede of Morton, Nathan (Bridget) Guede of Manito; and Linda, Cindy, Rick, Frank, and Scott Fromm, all of Peoria; Goddaughter, Emily Shallenberger; 27 Nieces and Nephews; and 4 Great-Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Moose worked for the Village of Morton for 25 years. He loved expressing his right to bear arms and the freedom of the road. Moose enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends at the Country Saloon in East Peoria. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. A Funeral Service will be at 1 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Following the service on Friday, there will be a procession led by motorcycles to the Guede Farm in Morton for family and friends to gather for food and fellowship to celebrate Moose's life. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
