Obituary Tommy A. "Tom" Harris, 63, of Washington, passed away at his home at 7:14 pm Thursday, March 31, 2016 with his family by his side. Born January 10, 1953 in Wolf Lake, IL to Paul E. and Geneva R. (Farmer) Harris. He married Erin Bradley on April 11, 1981 in Chillicothe. She survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters, Megan L. (Joe Smart) Harris of Mackinaw, Amanda E. (David Crandell) Harris of Normal, Shyann M. Harris of Creve Coeur; 1 brother, Ron (Cindy) Harris of Groveland; granddaughter that is due in May; uncle, Rob (Donna) Harris of Ava; aunt, Margie Abernathy of Wolf Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Bryant. Tom worked as a foreman at Chillicothe Metal Company starting in 1976. He was an avid vegetable gardener, and loved to fish and hunt. He restored a vintage Harley which he enjoyed riding and also enjoyed the many vacations with his wife and daughters along with Sunday dinners with the whole family. A celebration of life service for Tom will be at 11 am Friday, April 8, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, April 7th at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials for Tom may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
