Tim Curley, 65, of Congerville, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Goodfield.

He was born July 17, 1960 in Peoria to Daniel and Shirley Slonneger Curley. He married Kay Fritz on July 10, 1985 in Pekin.

Surviving is his wife, Kay; their children, Jay (Caitlin) Curley and Jenna Knapp; his grandkids, Audrey, Wyatt, Clara, Bo, and Brice; his dad, Dan Curley; his brother, Dennis (Kathy) Curley; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mom and his son-in-law, Jake Knapp.

Tim grew up in Washington and began his career in auto parts in 1979, with 22 of those years worked at NAPA. He had a loyal customer base, logging hundreds of thousands of invoices and many friendships.

His true passion was being a lifelong sportsman, which was kindled with his first trip to northwestern Wisconsin when he was three. This was Tim's favorite place and made an annual trip there.  He enjoyed being on the water anywhere, whether fishing or taking the grandkids tubing and waterskiing.  He was an avid hunter and loved to train and run his beagles. He was also a lifelong motorcyclist, riding for many years and attending motorcycle races.

Tim was one of a kind. He had a special nickname for nearly everyone and there wasn't a place where he didn't have a friend. He will be remembered for genuineness, his generosity and his sense of humor. Above all, he loved his family deeply; he was a wonderful husband, a great dad, and a loving grandpa.

Tim's service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, November 14, 2025, visitation will be two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Imhoff Cemetery in rural Congerville. People are encouraged to attend the service wearing camo or motorcycle related shirts if they wish to celebrate Tim's passions
