Obituary WASHINGTON - Thomas Ray Martin, 52, died in Arizona on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 after a 9 month battle with lung cancer. Tom was born on April 27, 1957 to Eugene L. and Florence Mae Martin. Tom grew up in Peoria and Washington, IL and moved to Arizona with his parents at age 14. He was a truck driver for 29 years, driving for Safeway most of that time, the same company his father also retired from. Tom leaves behind his wife, Michela, married almost 29 years, his son, Terry, daughter, Erin, and 4 grandchildren, Matthew (9), Kylie (5), Kaitlyn (3), and Camus (1 month). Tom also is survived by his brother Ralph "Butch" (Pam) Martin of Washington, IL, and 2 sisters, Bonnie (Bill) Howell of Geneseo, IL, and Debbie (Mitch) Opie of Mesa, AZ. Services for Tom were held on June 23, 2009 in Phoenix, AZ.
