Terry Colby, 67, of Washington, passed away at 11:19am Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Proctor in Peoria, IL.

She was born July, 20, 1954 in Peoria to the late Gordon and Betty Frazier Karmenzind and married Chester Colby on June 27, 1980 in Peoria.

Surviving is her husband Chet; their children, Laura (Chad) Bertelsen and Ryan (Agueda) Colby; grandchildren, Trent Gilpin, Tyler (Kate) Colby, Siarah Bertelsen, and Valerie Zavalza; brother, Gordon (Lisa) Karmenzind; and niece and nephew Mindy and Barry Sullivan.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chad King and sister, Rayette Sullivan.

Terry was an ICC student of Interior Design and loved putting her special touch on things. She was patriotic, loved America, was a recreational shooter and a USCCA member. Prior to her declining health she enjoyed the outdoors, bicycling and working out at Gold's Gym. She had an extensive fine porcelain doll collection which she enjoyed with her mom, and she especially loved her red toy poodles. Terry was a member of Bay View Baptist Church in Washington, always adamant that Jesus was her best friend.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory.
