Obituary Ted E. Todd, 78, of East Peoria, passed away at home at 11:40 pm Monday, April 17, 2017. He was born Sept. 10, 1938 in Mammoth Springs, AR to Alva and Ollie Robertson Todd. He married Gloria Gunn on June 28, 1969 in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Jennifer, Jeff, Cindy, Doug, Mike and Steve; and 9 grandchildren, Brett, Aaron, Kelsey, David, Morgan, Magge, Luke, Ryan and Adam. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Ted worked as a security supervisor at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 1994 after 37 years of service. He loved golf, the St. Louis Cardinals and especially spending time with his grandkids. He will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Children's Home Association of Illinois at 2130 N. Knoxville Ave. in Peoria, IL 61603. Ted's funeral service will be at 11 am Monday, April 24, 2017 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
