Sue Clark, 87, of Washington, passed away at 10:19 pm Saturday, November 13, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born December 23, 1933 in Berwyn, IL to the late Harold Sherwood and Dorothy Pauline Engle Coleman. She married Gilbert Clark in Morris, IL on June 7, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1979. Surviving are three children, Lori Clark and Norm Peterson, Dale Clark, Holly (Gary) Snyder; two grandchildren, Dean (Hailey) Snyder, Sarah (Tyler) Wallenfang; five great-grandchildren, Kellen, Deekin, Rylee, and Kenzie Wallenfang, and Jolene Snyder, and one great-grandson due in February; one sister, Beth Clampitt; one brother, Robert Coleman; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Sue loved spending time with her family and friends. You could find her watching the Cubs or Bears on any given day and she was always up for a game of bridge or euchre. Sue found true joy working for over 20 years at Sentimental Journey in Washington. We are at peace knowing she is with her beloved husband Gil and her best friend Kate. A funeral service will be held at 4pm Friday, November 19, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service from 2 to 4pm on Friday at the funeral home. Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11am Saturday, at UC Davis-Callahan Funeral Home in Morris, IL with a graveside service to follow Saturday at 11:30am at Evergreen Cemetery in Morris. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Morris Fire Department.
