Obituary EAST PEORIA--Steven C. Minson, 54, of Carman, IL, formerly of East Peoria, died at 2:30 PM, on Saturday, March 10, 2007 in rural Lomax, IL. He was born on October 27, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois to Clyde and Pauline Norville Minson. He married Diane Pretty in September 1972. He later married Maria Hayward (Doran) on January 29, 2002 in Peoria, IL; she survives. Also surviving is his daughter, Michelle (Ben) Ballard of Washington, IL; son, Jeff Minson of Pekin, IL; 1 step-son, Shane Steck of East Peoria, IL; 3 step-daughters, Tiffani (Jessie) Wilson of Chillicothe, IL; Alecia Steck of Peoria, IL, Shannon Steck of Chillicothe, IL; his parents, Clyde (Pauline) Minson of East Peoria, IL; 5 brothers, Robert (Ila) Minson of Hopedale, IL, Elmer (Linda) Minson of East Peoria, IL, Stan (Pam) Minson of East Peoria, IL; Doug (Debbie) Minson of Sunnyland, IL, and Roger (Dorothy) Minson of East Peoria, IL; and 8 grandchildren, Tyler (whom he helped raise), Hannah, Gabriella, Kara, Emily, J. J., Kimmie, Hunter and they are expecting 2 more. He was a veteran, serving in the US Marine Corps Reserves. Steven was an assembler for Caterpillar, Inc. at Building BB in Mossville, IL, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of UAW Local 974 in East Peoria, IL, and Ducks Unlimited. He will be very missed by all who knew and loved him. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Bill Lakota Eastin will officiate. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to services, from 12-2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, IL.
