Obituary PEORIA--Steven R. Hoelscher, 56, of Peoria, died at 12:45 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born on March 6, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois to Henry B. and Caroline Elizabeth Overbeck Hoelscher. Surviving is his brother Charles (Carol) Hoelscher and sister Gloria (Pete) Chiras, both of Washington IL; and 3 nephews, Nickolas, Michael and Justin. He was preceded in death by his parents. Steven was a long-time employee of the Peoria Association for Retarded Citizens. Steven loved life, music and interacting with people, but his love of Lawrence Welk surpassed all else. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 8 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. Rev. Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 - 6 PM on Monday, July 7 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, IL.
