Steven A. Kruse, 65, of Washington, passed away at 6:15pm Monday, July 29, 2019 at his home. He was born April 20, 1954 in Peoria to the late Reiner and Dorothy Phillips Kruse. He is survived by his longtime significant other Deany Klausing; children, Brandon Dixon and Lisa Cunningham; sister, Phyllis Hayes; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, Scott Kruse and nephew, Zak Kruse. Steve retired from Caterpillar in 2005 after 32 years there. In his retirement, he kept busy working part-time, last working at Uftring. He loved riding motorcycles, playing golf, and being outdoors. A celebration of Steves life will be from 1-3:00pm Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TAPS in Pekin.
