Stephen A. Hard, 69, of Peoria, passed away at 4:37pm Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born December 21, 1953 in Peoria to the late Norman C. and Mable E. Sheffer Hard.

Surviving is his son, Ryan Hard of Peoria; his sisters, Jane Cox of Washington, Phyllis (Jerry) Nevitt of Peoria, and Bonita Boston of Peoria; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie; and a brother, Norman.

After graduating from Pekin High School, he became a union electrician, retiring after 40 years of service. He was a Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
