Stephen James Dudas, 61, of Washington, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born on August 23, 1963 to Robert and Patsy (Welch) Dudas in Peoria, IL.

He is survived by his mother, Pasty Dudas; his siblings, Romona (Gary) Soppe, and Douglas (Wanda) Dudas; and his nieces and nephews, Dustin Dudas, Ali Hislope, Ashley Banister, Amber Banister, Amanda Banister, Christopher Patten, Elyssa (Howie) Frank, Rebecca Soppe, and Amy Trammel.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Dudas; and his sister, Rebecca Dudas.

Stephen enjoyed being outdoors in his spare time, he would often be found fishing or gardening. He was an avid sports fan, and he was known to cheer on the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He also loved watching Nascar. When Stephen wasn't outdoors, he loved spending time with his friends. Stephen was an amazing caregiver and had a natural connection with the elderly. Not only did he take excellent care of his mother, but in his time working maintenance at a nursing home, he was known to be gentle and kind to those that resided there. Stephen was an incredible son, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL in memory of Stephen.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
