Obituary East Peoria - Shirley Ann Berrard Wells, 82 of East Peoria died peacefully at 3:04 AM Thursday July 11, 2013 at her residence. She was born on December 18, 1930 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Walter and Elizabeth McCraken Baker. She married Keith Berrard on October 15, 1952 in Pigget, Arkansas. She later married Homer Wells on November 29, 1997 in Washington, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her four children; M. Lynn (Dave) Trovillion of Eureka, Mark Berrard of Peoria, Gayle (Jeff) Maas of Pekin, and Stacy (Mark) Munge of Las Vegas, NV, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Robert Baker. Shirley worked as a legal secretary for the States attorney office. She also worked for the family business C & H Repair and Supply in Peoria as a secretary and book keeper. She was a member of Roland Manor Baptist Church in Sunnyland and a former member of First Christian Church in Pekin where she was in the chapel choir and Victory singers. She has always been active in church either through her love for music or teaching Sunday school. Shirley was a very talented pianist and singer. She also loved to scrapbook and was a gifted seamstress. She has always been active in Girl Scouts as an organizer and leader. During her college years at Omaha University she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She has also been involved in the Community Concert Association in Paris, IL and Pekin, IL. There will be a funeral service for Shirley on Monday July 15, 2013 at 11 AM at Roland Manor Baptist Church. Pastor Steve Hardin and Pastor Joe Gardner will officiate. Visitation will be from 9-11 at the church. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling arrangements. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Inurnment will take place on Tuesday July 16, 2013 at 10 AM at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
