Obituary Shirley Ann McKinney, 82, of East Peoria, IL, died at 1:25 am Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on December 12, 1930 in Peoria, IL to Roy and Bernice Brown Surber, she married Harold J. McKinney on July 9, 1948 in East Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1989. Surviving are 1 son, Robert (Bette) McKinney of Washington, IL, 1 brother, Ellsworth (JoAnn) Surber of Beardstown, IL, 4 grandchildren, Adam McKinney, Jennifer McKinney, Lisa McKinney, and Keri McKinney, and 7 great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Vicki McKinney, 1 brother and 2 sisters. She worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Cost Accounting for 30 years, retiring in February of 1986. A talented seamstress, Shirley did alterations at Schradzkis Clothing in Peoria for several years. She also attended Grace Fellowship in Peoria. A visitation will be from 10-11 am on Thursday, February 21, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria, followed by burial at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
