Shirley J. McCormick, 89, of Washington, passed away at 12:08pm Sunday, January 15, 2023 at her home.

She was born January 13, 1934 in Peoria to Kibb E. and Lydia M. Harms Oliver.  She married Kenneth G. McCormick in Washburn on October 13, 1951.  He survives.

Also surviving are six children, Sheila (Michael) Taylor, Sherry (Joe) Hart, Cindy LaFollett, Kathryn Robinson, Tom McCormick, Kris (Jeff) Fuerst; 18 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings, Elmont (Sonny) Oliver, Barbara Thierer, Kay Rohman, and Marcia Willoughby.

Kenneth and Shirley J. spent time at their second home in Missouri at the Lake of the Ozarks, along with many travels down to Florida during the winters.  She always enjoyed spending time with her three sisters. However, Shirley J. was happiest when her time was spent with Kenneth and her children and grandchildren.

Cremation has been accorded.  Visitation will be from 1 to 3pm Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to OSF Children's Hospital.
