Obituary East Peoria- Shirley D. Dunaway, 74, of East Peoria, died at 7:40AM on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Bel-wood Nursing Home in Peoria. She was born on July 2, 1933 in Peoria, to Frederick and Elma Robinson Swiger. She married James E. Dunaway on December 25, 1954 in Corinth, MS. He died on December 17, 2004. Also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are one son, Steven (and Angie) Dunaway; one daughter, Kim (and Vince) Kuhn, both of Peoria; four brothers, Sam (and Shirley) Swiger of Springfield, MO; Robert (and Bernice) Swiger of Mt. Olive, NC; Paul (and Dannie) Swiger of Phoenix, AZ; Ronald (and Teresa) Swiger of Pekin, IL; and two sisters, Betty Reames of Washington, IL; Marilyn (and Glenn) Martin of Morton, IL., and also surviving are four grandchildren, Jacob, Austin, Chase, and Chandler Dunaway. She graduated Oehrlein School of Cosmetology in 1975 and has been a Hair Stylist for 33 years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of East Peoria. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00am on Friday, July 27, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria, where visitation will be one hour before services. Pastor Bill Lakota Eastin will officiate.
