Obituary Washington- Sherry Lee McDaniel, 58, of Washington passed away at 3:29 pm on Monday January 12, 2009 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born to Robert and Lela (Fulton) McDaniel on April 7, 1950 in Springfield, IL. Surviving are her father Robert (Ilea) McDaniel of Berrien Springs, MI and mother Lela (Bill) Cole of Washington; two sisters Janice (Bill) Watts and Catherine (David) Loy, both of Washington; step-brother Kevin (Susan) McDaniel of Chesterton, MD; step-sister Karen McDaniel of Huntington Beach, CA; five uncles, three aunts, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Sherry worked at Methodist Medical Center for several years and later as an in-home caregiver for 12 years. She enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Illini basketball fan. A memorial service to celebrate Sherry's life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11 AM at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Pastor Bob DeBolt will officiate. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home an hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
