Obituary Sherri Lynn Grigsby, 57, of Peoria, IL, died at 3:03 am Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born on April 19, 1949 in Peoria, IL to Leo Frederick and Juanita JoAnne Short Grigsby. Surviving are her parents of East Peoria, 1 brother, Steve (Sherrie) Grigsby of Peoria Heights, 1 sister, Kathy (Herb) Ayres of Washington, IL, and her nieces and nephews, whom she treated as her own, Michelle (Patrick) Crumrine and Keith (Sara) McMillan, both of Washington, Colleen Grigsby of Naperville, IL and Joe Grigsby of Bloomington, IL. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Olladene E. Edwards and her maternal grandmother, Nettie Smith. She worked in the Planning and Growth Management Department for the City of Peoria. She enjoyed Bradley University Basketball and was a St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home 444 E. Washington St. East Peoria. The Rev. Tom Goodell will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, July 21, 2006 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
