Obituary Sharon K. Lorentz, 72, of Peoria, formerly of Washington, passed away at 1:50am, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her home. She was born April 26, 1941 in Washington to Lyle and Ethel Weeks Hartman; they preceded her in death. She married John G. Lorentz on November 4, 1967 in Washington; he survives. Also surviving is their daughter, Michele (David) Mooney, of Morton; brother, Bob (JoAnn) Hartman of Washington; sisters, Kathy (F. Jan) Rieman of Michigan and Judy Ann Zyla of Biloxi, MS; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon enjoyed bowling for many years, and belonged to the Peoria Bowling League. She enjoyed flower gardening, was an avid reader, and like to spend time with her dog, Gracie. Sharon was also a dedicated Cubs, Bears and Bradley Braves fan. A funeral service for Sharon will be held at 11:00am Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
