Scott N. Kalbacken, 71, of Peoria passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at his home.

Scott was born in Pekin on June 3, 1953, to Norman and Joan Kalbacken. He married Kathy Erickson. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Teryl "Tyke" Engel.

He is survived by his wife Kathy and his daughter Amy (Matt Rommel) Kalbacken of Seattle, Washington.

Scott earned a marketing/business degree from Illinois State University. He retired from State Farm Insurance in 2018. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed music, history and traveling

throughout the United States and aboard.

Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals of Central Illinois 507 E. Armstrong Ave. Peoria, IL 61603. It serves the Peoria, Bloomington, and Metamora area and the camp in Hudson, Illinois.

There will be a memorial service for Scott at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington, Illinois at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2025. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Lyn Kern will

officiate.
