Obituary Washington-Sarah M. Schultz, 106, of Washington, IL, formerly of Covell, IL, died at 12:30 pm Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Washington Christian Village. She was born September 23, 1903 in Tremont, IL to Peter and Marie (Stuber) Unsicker. She married Edward J. Schultz in January 1926 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death in March of 1987. Also preceding in death were one brother, Leonard Unsicker and one sister, Julia Brown. Surviving are her daughter, Marvine Engel of Washington; four granddaughters, Tami (Jim) Saunders of Rockford, IL, Karen (Greg) Kremer, Jill (Dennis) Hermann, and Penny (Rich) Benson all of Washington; and nine great grandchildren. Sarah taught elementary school in Decatur prior to marriage and then joined her husband working on their farm near Covell where she lived for 68 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington, IL. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington where a committal service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. The Rev. Richard Hanson will officiate.
