Obituary Washington - Sara J. Siever, 88, of Washington died at 11:55 PM on Thursday November 7, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria. She was born on June 3, 1925 in Tamalco Township, IL to George H. and Florence Ulmet Thomason. She married Warren Henry Siever on January 30, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2005 in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers; Raymond and June, one sister Lorraine and one infant son Lloyd Earl Siever. Sara is survived by three daughters; Beverly (James) Shoup of Washington, Indiana, Judy (Rick) Jarvis of Peoria Heights, IL and Susan (Paul) Randle of Normal, IL, four sons; Dennis Siever and Michael Siever both of Peoria, and Brad (Romau) Siever and Norman Siever both of Washington. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Sara was a loving mother who devoted her time to raising her children. She loved cooking and baking, especially apple and pumpkin pies. She also enjoyed gardening. She was a member of the Washington Garden Club. She was also a member of Washington Christian Church. There will be a funeral service for Sara on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at 10 AM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Jeff Browning will officiate. There will be a visitation from 5-7 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
