Obituary
WASHINGTON - Sandra L. Isbell, 52, of Washington, died at 12:09 am Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her home. Born on May 30, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Everett and Juanita Fulk Bailey, she married Doyle W. Isbell on May 21, 1977 in Washington, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her parents, Everett and Juanita Bailey of Creve Coeur, IL, 1 son Andrew (Jennifer) Isbell of Hampstead, NC, 1 daughter, Valerie (Jim) Miller of Elverson, PA, 1 brother, Les (Dori) Bailey of Peoria, IL, the family dog, Elvis and her beloved horse, Jack. Sandy was a Training Supervisor at Ameren-Cilco, where she had worked for 30 years. She also was a computer teacher at Midstate College in Peoria. She was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois Springfield. She also enjoyed volunteering with the Peoria Habitat for Humanity where she served as a family sponsor, and with the Women for Women International Organization. Her hobbies included horseback riding, sewing, quilting, reading, traveling and taking photographs of her family. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Creve Coeur. Funeral Services will be at 10 am Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Kevin Dell will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peoria Habitat for Humanity or the Washington Rescue Squad.
