Obituary Sandra Lee (Ward) Bridwell, 69, of Washington, IL, died at 6:30 pm Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on July 14, 1942 in Tuscola, IL to Harry E. and Laura L. Watson Foerster, she married Robert T. Ward on February 13, 1965 in Washington, IL. She later married George E. Bridwell on June 17, 1998 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Bobbi Jo Ward of Washington, IL, James "Jimmy" Ward of Peoria, IL, and Kellie Felmey of Washington, IL, 1 step-daughter, Kimberly Bridwell of Peoria, IL, 6 grandchildren, Austin J. Ward, Sydney R. Reid, Mary L. Jordan, Jakob Felmey, Grace Felmey, and Kody Felmey, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Ward and Corbin Hardwick, 3 siblings, Sharon A. (Larry) Starr of Washington, IL, James S. Davis of Peoria, IL, and Marsha S. (Alan) Pierantoni of Washington, IL, her sister-in-law, Marilyn (Denny) Antrim, several nieces and nephews, and many who fondly remember her as "Aunt Sandy". She was preceded in death by her parents, Stepfather, James E. Davis, 1 infant son, Kevin Lee, and 1 brother, William E. Davis. Sandy worked for Robert Cottingham Property Management for 25 years, retiring in February of 2010. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. A memorial service for Sandy will be at 11 am Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Jeff Browning will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the funeral home. The family would like to give special thanks to Methodist Medical Center Respiratory ICU Staff for the excellent care given to their loved one.
