Obituary Sandra Archibald, 85, of Washington, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday morning, March 3, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born February 3, 1933 in Centerville, IA to the late Claude and Irene Brown Eggert. She married Joe Archibald on January 28, 1956 in Centerville; he preceded her in death on August 27, 2013. Surviving are her children, David (Linda) Archibald of Lawrenceville, GA, Steven (Amy) Archibald of Green Bay, WI, and Sara (Patrick) Marsalek of Dublin, OH; and her four grandchildren, Taylor, Race, Delaney, and Grace. Sandy received her nurse's training at Mercy College in Des Moines, IA. She worked at St. Francis Medical Center for 17 years until her retirement. She loved to golf and fish and enjoyed reading. Sandy kept busy in retirement, traveling south to spend the winters with her husband and working out at Five Points. She enjoyed her friendships made through her euchre club and Secret Pals club for many years. Sandy loved working in the garden, tending to her hostas and birdwatching. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
