Obituary WASHINGTON- S. Christine Jefford, 86, of Washington, IL died at 8:20 am Friday, September 21, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on October 7, 1920 in Morley, MO to Harry B. and Callie E. Gibbs Forgason, she married Richard E. Jefford on August 7, 1940 in Charleston, MO. He died on January 20, 1992. Surviving are 2 sons, Richard J. "Dick" (Kathy) Jefford and Harold G. "Fuzz" (Cyndy) Jefford, both of Washington, 5 grandchildren John (Kim) Jefford, Beth (Jac) Carr, Diana (Brad) Trout, Kristy Jefford and Pam McDaniels, and 2 step-grandchildren, Bob England and Jami Riston. Also Surviving are 2 brothers, Tom (Jean) Forgason of Morton and Bob (Kathy) Forgason of Washington and many great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. She retired from F.W. Means after 29 years of service, and was a member of Local #171. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Washington. Graveside Services will be 10:30am on Tuesday September 25, 2007 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton. Visitation will be from 9-10 am Tuesday at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington.
