Obituary Ruth E. Warren, 75, of Peoria Heights died at 7:30 AM on Monday, October 25, 2010 at her residence following a courageous 5 year battle with cancer. Born on June 11, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Ralph and Corda Painter Yerby, she married William Dunkin on July 9, 1956. She later married Travice Warren on July 6, 1985. He survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Laurie (Allen) Brewer of Streator, IL; her son, Stephen (Sandy Dunlavey) Dunkin of Peoria Heights; 4 grandchildren, Angela, Allison, Arin and Andrew; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Raymond ( Mary) Yerby of Pekin, and Ralph (Phyllis) Yerby, Jr of Germantown Hills; 1 sister, Corliss (Gerald) O'Bryan of Fayetteville, AR; and her beloved German Shepherd, Hailey. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ruth had worked for John Pearl & Associates for 17 years, and had previously worked for the USPS Remote Encoding Center. She was a member of the Tuesday Girls, Bunco, Pinochle Club, and Friday Night Dominoes. The family extends a special thank you to Allison Fisher, who cared for Ruth in her final week of life. A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Peoria Heights Congregational Church. The Rev. Karl Kraemer and Rev. Larry Kirk will officiate.
